Alverno has already surpassed last season's win total with an impressive 3-1 start to the 2016 season. The Inferno opens Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play this Friday versus Lakeland before a nonconference tilt against MacMurray Sunday.
The Muskies (1-3, 0-0 NACC) just lost a pair of games at Alverno Field in the Inferno Cup this past weekend and will host Lawrence University Wednesday before returning to Milwaukee.
The Highlanders are off to a 1-1 start and will play at Mount Mary before Sunday's matchup with the Inferno.
Alverno has won two of the last three against Lakeland, but still trails 2-12 in the all-time series, while Sunday will be the first meeting with MacMurray.
Live video broadcasts and live stats will be available on athletics.alverno.edu for both contests.
Alverno (2-5, 1-2 NACC) is coming off a split of NACC duals last week and will host two conference contests this week.
Marian (3-2, 2-0) has won three straight entering Tuesday's match while Concordia Chicago (0-2, 0-2) lost both its duals this season.
The Sabres lead the all-time series 6-1 while the Inferno leads the Cougars 5-2.
A rough nine-match road swing for the Inferno (1-8) comes to a close Tuesday night in the NACC opener at Benedictine before Rockford visits Reiman Gymnasium Thursday. Following is four matches up at Ripon's Red Hawks Invitational against a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes -- Saint Mary's and St. Catherine -- Friday, and then rematches against Dubuque and host Ripon Saturday.
The Eagles enter league play with a 3-5 record while the Regents (0-4) have yet to find the win column and will play at Dominican Tuesday before Thursday's matchup with the Inferno.
Both MIAC opponents are off to impressive starts as the Cardinals are 8-1 and the Wildcats 6-2. The Spartans are 4-3 with two consecutive wins including Friday night's 3-0 victory over Alverno, and the Red Hawks are 6-2 with a win over the Inferno back on opening weekend.
Alverno's all-time records versus this week's opponents are: 0-12 versus Benedictine; 2-17 versus Rockford; 0-0 versus Saint Mary's; 0-1 versus St. Catherine; 0-3 versus Dubuque; and 0-5 versus Ripon.
Both conference matches will have live video broadcasts and live stats with links available on athletics.alverno.edu.
