Alverno Athletic Fields (Soccer & Softball)

Alverno Softball FieldThe Alverno Athletic fields, located on the Alverno campus, host all Inferno soccer and softball home games. In addition, the Northern Athletics Conference Softball Tournament is hosted here annually.

The athletic fields were dedicated on October 6, 2007. The athletic fields include a NCAA regulation soccer field, a NCAA regulation softball diamond and a building that houses a concession stand, restrooms, press box and storage. The athletic fields are part of the campus beautification project that began in 2006.

 

Reiman Gymnasium (Basketball & Volleyball)

Reiman GymnasiumReiman gymnasium, located on the Alverno campus, hosts all Inferno basketball and volleyball home events. Additionally, Reiman Gymnasium is home to the Storm of Milwaukee Area Technical College basketball and volleyball teams.

In addition to the renovation of the gymnasium in 2000, locker rooms, offices for the athletics staff, a fitness center, an athletic training room and team room were created.

In the spring of 2010 the gymnasium floor was resurfaced and repainted for an updated and fresh look.

 

Nicolet H.S. & Humboldt Park (Tennis)

McKinley ParkThe tennis team hosts it's home events at Nicolet High School and Humboldt Park. Humboldt Park is part of the Milwaukee County Park System.

Alverno College uses the 'Main Tennis Courts' at Nicolet High School (6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, Glendale, Wis.) which are located just south of the football field.

The tennis courts at Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Avenue) are located in the north-east corner of the park.

 

 

Fitness Center

Fitness CenterThe Fitness Center is designed for the benefit of the entire Alverno College community, which includes students, faculty and staff.

The Fitness Center is located in the AF building, room AF201, across the hallway that overlooks Reiman Gymnasium.

Hours for the Fitness Center are:
Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m.-10 p.m. (6:30 p.m. on Non-Weekend College)
Saturdays: 7 a.m.-6 p.m. (8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Non-Weekend College)
Sundays: 7 a.m.-6 p.m. (11:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Non-Weekend College)

Winter Break Hours:
Monday-Friday: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
Not available on weekends
Not available during Shutdown

Summer Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturdays with Classes: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Alverno Athlete of the Week

Villalobos

1B ● Softball

The junior first baseman had a team-leading .500 batting average in four games last week. Villalobos recorded multiple hits in three of the games for seven total hits in 14 at bats and did not strike out once in 15 plate appearances. She added a pair of RBIs and stolen base and was defensively perfect in 14 chances.
