MILWAUKEE -- Basketball student-athlete Alicia Kontowski (South Milwaukee, Wis.) has been named Alverno Athlete of the Week for events that took place January 16-22.
The senior forward scored double-figures for the sixth-straight game and set a new career high with 23 points in a loss at MSOE on Saturday. In the game, she shot 6-of-12 from the field and was 10-of-15 from the free-throw line, and snagged a team-high seven rebounds for the Inferno.
Alverno (5-11, 2-8 NAC) travel to play host Lakeland College on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
