MILWAUKEE -- Basketball student-athlete Hannah Galstad (Holmen, Wis.) has been named Alverno Athlete of the Week for events that took place December 26-January 1.
The senior guard/forward shot 57 percent from the floor and tied a game-high with 16 points in the Inferno's record setting victory over Caltech, where she also added six steals.
Galstad followed it up with a team-high 12 points and game-high three steals in the Inferno's loss to CMS the next day. For her outstanding play she was named to the CMS-Caltech Winter Classic All-Tournament Team.
Alverno (4-8, 1-5 Northern Athletics Conference) finished the nonconference portion of its schedule at the Winter Classic and will play at Concordia University Chicago on Saturday, January 7, in Northern Athletics Conference play.
